new york part 3

we began early the next day at a press review.

then we headed out to cover the noho design district events. but before we arrived at our first destination, we stumbled upon this:

weird.

i loved these pieces by elyse graham that we saw at the standard east village.

we continued on our noho mission and ran into famed lighting designer lindsey adelman at the future perfect.

c-clamp fixtures of hers.

we went t0 a few more places and then ended up at the tom dixon/fab.com event.

loved his underground display of lighting and wares.

look who we ran into on the way out. tom dixon himself!

then i saw this freak “walking” down the street in those obnoxious bounce shoes and talking super loud on her phone.

next up, another press event where everyone had on cool shoes. mondo collection.

that green pair belongs to none other than jaime hayon. love him!

cool chandelier @ mondo

check out the view from mondo collection – awesome!

we then hit up wanted design. very cool offsite event of design week.

this is from a very cool light exhibit by todd bracher + 3m. that’s me in red in the reflection (duh). todd was there and he was awesome.

if you don’t know these people, you should. it’s none other than massimo & lella vignelli and we were in awe.

fun piece made out of folded paint chips.

there was a ton more but impossible to fit in a single post. you can find more of our coverage on design milk here.

Beautiful stuff! Tom Dixon ones are just beautiful, and some of Mondo’s pieces remind me a lot of one of my favourite brands, Delightfull (here, if you’d like to check it: http://delightfull.eu )
